In a growing wave of complaints, users of the newly launched iPhone 16 Pro are reporting issues with unresponsive touchscreens, leading to frustration and calls for a quick resolution from Apple. The problem appears to affect a subset of devices, with users describing situations where their screens fail to register taps or gestures.

The complaints began surfacing on social media and tech forums shortly after the iPhone 16 Pro’s release on September 20, 2024. Many users have noted that the touchscreen intermittently stops responding, particularly during routine tasks such as texting, scrolling through apps, or making calls. Some have reported that restarting the device temporarily alleviates the issue, while others find it persists despite multiple attempts.

“I’ve been a loyal Apple user for years, but this is really disappointing,” said one affected user on a popular tech forum. “I expected more from the latest model. It’s frustrating when your phone doesn’t respond as it should.”

The issue seems to vary in severity, with some users experiencing minor lags and others facing complete touchscreen failures. Reports indicate that the problem is not isolated to any particular color or storage configuration, making it challenging for users to pinpoint the cause.

In response to the growing concern, Apple has acknowledged the issue and stated that it is actively investigating the reports. A spokesperson for the company said, “We are aware of the situation and are committed to ensuring our customers have the best experience possible with the iPhone 16 Pro. We encourage any users experiencing these issues to contact Apple Support for assistance.”

While Apple has not yet released a timeline for a software update or hardware fix, industry experts suggest that the problem may be related to a software glitch in the latest iOS version. “It’s not uncommon for new devices to encounter teething issues,” said tech analyst Sarah Williams. “Apple is known for its swift responses, so I expect they will address this promptly.”

As users await further developments, many are turning to social media to share their experiences and seek solutions. Some have found temporary workarounds, such as adjusting settings or disabling certain features, while others are opting to return their devices for refunds or exchanges.

For now, the spotlight is on Apple to resolve the issue and restore confidence in its flagship product. As the situation unfolds, affected users are encouraged to stay connected with official Apple channels for updates.
